Visiting the Merlion Country

Singpore is a really place. Clean and safe streets, Friendly and helpful people, Cheap and nice stuffs, Wide selection of delicious food, & very convenient public transportation. (psst, i especially love their comfy vintage-like cabs ;))

SeohYing picked me up from the Changi Airport and brought me to the hostel i was planning to stay. We reached Little India around 8.30pm and began searching the streets for the hostel but to our disappointment, it was fully booked! They referred us to a few other backpacker hostels but all of them were full house too... We didn't give up searching and without a backup plan, we tried our luck at Dunlop street, thank God SY was tall enough to see the signboard of Dunlop21 Hostel. To our amaze, they had plenty of space available!! It was already 10.30pm when we checked-in so SY decided to stay the night with me ^^ After settling everything, we went for a late dinner at a restaurant around the corner.

After breakfast, SY brought me to Bugis street while she went back home to have a change of clothes since she didn't bring anything during her stay with me at the hostel.. hehe =) I window shopped around Bugis street while waiting for WeyNee and WeyJhian for lunch. It was so tempting to buy everything at Bugis Street! Clothes were priced at around $10-19.90 at boutique standard quality. There were watches, tops, jeans, dresses, hats. I only bought a blouse for $10 and regretted not buying more coz I was worried that I might exceed my budget for the next 2 days. Who would've knew that the next 2 days were more of window shopping and sight-seeing. =/ but anyways, I had lotsa fun!

Bugis Junction

-bought a bracelet that has pleated leather around it

Opposite Iluma Shopping centre. Their food was totally worth the money i paid. $13.90 for a set of main course, coleslaw, garlic bread and drinks. Highlight was that the quality of their food can compete with Delicious in Malaysia.

Ann Siang Hill

One thing I totally adore of this place is the colonial architecture of the shops. One more thing, the shops there sells weird stuffs that you don't get to see in Malaysia. ^.^

Books Actually

They specialize in selling literature, some autobiographies and handmade notebooks and bookmarks. I SO LOVE their interior designing, it may look messy in this pic but I love a shop that has tonnes of things for my eyes to feast at and especially if everyone of them is so interesting!! ^__^  check them out!

9/8/10 (Singapore National Day)

Wey Nee stayed the night with me at the Hostel on the 2nd night and she brought me to Iluma for a walk and then to Plaza Singapura for a movie - Despicable Me and the Arcade, which was totally a different experience compared to Malaysia~~ In the evening, WN brought me to Vivo City and enjoyed the view of the pretty lighted up Sentosa Island on the rooftop that has a shallow but wide wading pool. O.o We had dinner there and went home. Me, to my hostel and WN, to her home.

Woke up in the morning, WN met up with me at the hostel after breakfast. We departed straight to Changi Airport and had lunch at Fish & Co. It was my first time and i think it was not bad, but if it wasn't for the promotional price, their original price would've been not worth the quality. Maybe it was also because of the lack of staffs that day which slowed down the cooking and serving. Anyways, i left for KL on the delayed AirAsia flight at 4.45pm. All i can is that it was an exhausting but satisfying trip! 

Thanks WeyNee, WeyJhian and SeohYing for accompanying me in Singapore. Hope to see you guys soon... I will definitely visit Singapore again, hopefully next year! haha X)
