I had my last paper for the semester finals today so i'm free, Free, FRee, FREe, FREE as a bird!!!! (besides rushing for my dreadful thesis =/)
Valerie asked me to have lunch together coz we don't know when will it be the next time we'll have a meal together again since she's gonna start her extended semester in Nov and mine in Sep. We initially wanted to go to Poco Homemade after our exams at 10am but I suddenly recalled that they only open at 12pm.. Therefore we resorted to go to BSC to check out Oga's recommendation of a DELICIOUS and CHEAP place called "Monte"..... or was is "Monte's"? Anyway, it took us quite a few rounds searching the whole mall to finally bump into the corner wine and bar restaurant, turns out it wasn't as "cheap" as we expected it to be...
Being kinda disappointed (with growling stomachs) we decided to just stick to any cafes or restaurants in the mall just to fill our stomachs.. then when we were about to give up and leave for Poco Homemade, Val saw a poster about a tea shop called "The Tea Republic". My first impression was they either only sell desserts and teas or worse, maybe only packaged teas. Being the tea lovers we are, we decided to give it a shot... gotta find out what it was!
Search search search........ we saw the little shop at the end of the mall at a secluded corner.. we immediately fell in love with the interior.. So we went in to check out and saw that their meals are priced at about RM10 ++, we immediately took our seats!
First look at the menu, we were like "err...lapsang tea?" What interesting names they have for their tea! I spotted my all time favorite Earl Grey Tea and wanted to order them when Val pointed out that it was priced at RM17.90... a freaking RM17.90! I turned the pages to find for other alternatives and saw that they have Cinnamon Milk Tea for RM8.90, okay, since I like cinnamon and black tea.. RM8.90 is more affordable for me.
Therefore, Cinnamon Milk Black Tea it is for me, with my Cottage Pie + Salad.
Valerie on the other hand had her Green Tea and Indian Chicken + saffron rice.

After our meals, we talked and were so high and crazy over their decoration and utensils.. i know, we can be pretty embarrassing at times >.< Experimented a lot with Val's new camera and explored the merchandises at the store. They sell Stick Teas and tea bags in pairs, magnets about tea, recycled bags etc.
Suddenly, we lifted our heads and saw "Homemade Ice-cream".. it was like a blinking billboard shouting our names and we were mesmerize @.@ when we woke up, both of us each had a flavor- GreenTea and Teh Tarik, in front of us and spooning away.. (by "spooning" i mean the transitive verb to eat, scoop, or carry something with a spoon or with the action of somebody using a spoon)
Our verdict: super delicious ice-cream that you won't be left feeling unhealthy after eating the whole cup. ^_^ However, there were some grainy particles throughout the whole cup which we think is blended tea leaves, might leave you choking on it so do get ready some water to smooth-en your throat ;)

Definitely a must-try destination! Gonna bring my family there one day ^_^
